'Leadership change can help reform talk'
HKT 00:11
One of the organisers of Occupy Central, Chan Kin-Man said protesters'
demands for the Chief Executive to resign were not simply because of the government's use of tear gas on protesters last week, but also because a change in leadership could mean a new start for Hong Kong's political reform.
"It can open up space for constitutional reform talks to start all over again," he said.
Mr Chan said he believed student protesters still want to meet with the government over constitutional reform, despite disagreements on the agenda and how the talks should be carried out.
