The government has been urged to implement a grading system for licensed plumbers to better regulate the water supply system.
That's one of the proposals the Institution of Engineers made after a two-month study into the lead contamination saga.
The engineers found that existing laws regulating water supply systems, the use of
materials as well as plumbers are all very outdated, compared with British standards.
The president of the Institution, Chan Chi-chiu, said the current single-plumber approach isn't good enough.
