The European Commission is opening three anti-dumping investigations into steel products made in China as cheap imports hammer the UK steel industry.
The regulators' investigation is the latest into cheap imports from non-EU countries.
The Commission said it was investigating steel products including seamless pipes, heavy plates and hot-rolled flat steel.
There are nine other anti-dumping investigations already under way.
