More than a dozen protesters from the League of Social Democrats on Wednesday marched to Beijing's Liaison Office here, to call on the central government to release the five Hong Kong booksellers who are now being detained on the mainland.

They also demanded the central government revoke its August 31, 2014 decision about how the next Chief Executive is elected.

The protesters also called for the release of mainland activists such as Liu Xiaobo.

LSD chairman Avery Ng said his party will continue peaceful protests and civil disobedience in the coming months over these issues.
