Hong Kong taxi driver's fight with 'bereaved' family caught on camera (VIDEO)

A taxi driver and his passenger were filmed during a violent argument yesterday afternoon.

The dispute, which took place at around 5pm outside Tuen Mun Town Plaza, apparently involved a 40-year-old man in white (the passenger), and a 42-year-old man dressed in black (the driver).

The passenger had reportedly boarded the taxi with his family before getting into an argument with the driver.

Social media users uploaded a short clip, which seems to show the passenger standing over the driver after he apparently threw him down on the road. As the men lunge at each other, the passenger can be heard repeatedly shouting "my dad's funeral is today".

A woman, who appears to be the passenger's domestic helper, tries to pull the sparring men apart and urges them to stop fighting. A child, believed to be the daughter of the passenger, can be heard crying loudly and screaming "Daddy! Daddy!".

Oriental Daily reports that the argument started after the taxi driver rejected the family as they exceeded the number of passengers legally allowed in a standard Hong Kong taxi.
