Going up... and up again. This pair is putting professional logistics operators to shame. Photos: Facebook
A pair of supermarket workers are getting an “A” for effort with an unconventional way of transporting goods — whether or not their bosses appreciate the idea.
For one thing, it saves time and money and cuts out the middle man.
The idea consists of nothing but throwing boxes from the ground to a balcony, with a man doing the tossing and a woman doing the catching and stacking the boxes, according to Metro Daily.
Netizens are praising the duo for their “flawless teamwork” — apparently no box has fallen or been mishandled — and “excellent productivity”.
At this writing, a video of the spectacle had more than 10,000 likes and 9,600 shares on Facebook.
The clip was taken at a ParknShop outlet in Cheung Chau by a certain Billy Mak, a former store assistant.
Commenters described the man as a “golden belt” for his outstanding display of power in hurling boxes of every shape and size 10 feet into the air.
His female colleague was complimented for being able to catch everything thrown her way rather effortlessly.
Some wondered if the two might have received martial arts training.
However, a netizen said the video could get the workers in trouble with their bosses.
Their mode of transport is not standard practice and could lead to safety issues.
Also, breakage is possible, he said.
No word if management has ordered a redo — like telling the duo to do it again properly.
We hope not.
