A taxi got trapped in a surprisingly deep pothole near the Regal Oriental Hotel on Sa Po Road in Kowloon yesterday afternoon, much the the amusement of all except the driver.
Facebook user Cherry Cheuk uploaded a photo of the taxi to a group dedicated to sharing incidents in Hong Kong, and said that "people warned the driver [surnamed Chan] to be careful, but he drove too quickly".
The hole was approximately one metre by one metre, and Oriental Daily reports that police suspect a burst pipe underground was the cause.
This weekend sure wasn't kind to drivers by the name of Chan, huh? Still, at least the burst pipe didn't bring about a tidal wave of poo.
