A group of professionals will stage a protest on October 1 to voice their discontent over what they described as an erosion of Hong Kong's core values.
The group, named Defend Hong Kong, includes Civic Party legislator Kwok Ka-ki and Edward Chin, the convenor of a support group of finance sector professionals who backed the Occupy Movement.
The group plans to dress in black during the protest, and collect signatures from the public as a show of support for their cause.
