The upcoming lunar year is the year of the fire monkey based on the Chinese zodiac, an astrological system corresponding to the cycle of 12 animals and five elements.

Those born in the ruling zodiac sign—monkey in this case—are not expected to have the best of luck during the year. Fortune tellers call it “clashing”.

January and July are said to be the most unlucky months.

Overall, if you are a monkey, it’s not the year to throw caution in the wind and be daring.

It’s not advisable to think about changing jobs or making big investments, zodiac specialists say.

If you are planning something major, postpone it.

Attend more gatherings, like wedding or birthday parties, where there are lots of people celebrating. That could help dilute the negative energy. Taking trips is also a good idea.

Love life depends on so many factors. Those who are dating are more prone to fights, or even a break-up, this year.

Nevertheless, for those who have found the Right One, it’s a good year to get married.
