Scuffles between police and protesters have broken out in Mong Kok, and at least a dozen arrests have so far reportedly been made as bailiffs continue with their attempt to clear parts of the protest site.

Notorious pro-democracy activist and LegCo member Leung Kwok-hung (AKA Long Hair) has also been photographed at the scene, apparently being escorted from the area by police officers.

After getting down to it at around 10:30am this monring, the removal team – authorised to act on behalf of the Chiu Luen Public Light Bus Company which secured an injunction to clear parts of the protest site – tore down barricades at the intersection between Nathan Road and Argyle Street, despite opposition from demonstrators, who insist the limits of the injunction are not clear enough.

As areas were slowly cleared, police moved in to form lines and prevent the areas from being reoccupied. Protesters were arrested when trying to re-occupy the newly cleared section of Argyle Street.
Anyone resisting the clean up operation is technically in contempt of court, and the police have been authorised to assist the bailiffs in their efforts.
