Major political scandals aside, Hong Kong also has flat-out hilarious mundane, schoolyard-level political crap.
Democratic Party district councillor Au Nok-hin has taken to his Facebook page to accuse the pro-Beijing DAB party of sending “interns” to disrupt him while he was on the campaign trail on Monday.
, Au accused the supposed interns of following him while he handed out fliers and covering his banners with DAB banners of their own.
As posters of DAB community manager Carrie Li were pasted over his, Au accused Li of being complicit in the interns’ actions, reports Stand News.
“When I put up a banner, they put two banners up to cover it; when I distributed flyers, they followed me wherever I went,” he wrote.
Au, a councillor in the Southern District, is campaigning for the District Council elections that will take place in November of this year.
He called the actions of the interns childish and immature, adding that he was once an intern and would never have resorted to such underhand methods.
