DAB Chairwoman, Starry Lee, said she doesn't think Beijing would express support for anybody to be the next Chief Executive at this stage, be it publicly or through her party.
There's been speculation that the Central Government would like CY Leung to head the SAR government for a second term, after the head of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, Zhang Dejiang, told a DAB delegation earlier that he hoped DAB could continue its support for the CE and the government.
But Ms Lee said that would be over-interpreting Mr Zhang's statement.
