Civic Party legislator Claudia Mo says a suggestion that part of Hong Kong's tram network be scrapped was "unacceptable".
A consultancy firm has submitted a proposal to the Town Planning Board that services between Central and Admiralty be stopped because they were causing traffic congestion.
But Mo said the trams were vital and it was the illegal parking that was causing congestion in the area.
