Tony Flores reports
The former Legislative Council building in Central reopened on Monday as the new home of the Court of Final Appeal.

The 103-year-old building next to Statue Square was previously used as the High Court and Legislative Council, before it was renovated and converted into the Court of Final Appeal.

It features two courtrooms, a registry, a lawyers' common room, four consultation rooms and a press room. The council moved to a new building in Admiralty in 2011.

The Court of Final Appeal has been operating at the former French Mission Building at Battery Path since 1997. The red-brick building has been declared a monument.
