A mainlander who pleaded guilty to giving botox injections to people without registering as a doctor, has been sentenced to four months in prison.
Kowloon City Court heard that Liu Yang had followed the instruction of a mainland woman to perform the procedure in a hotel room in Tsim Sha Tsui.
He was arrested in June during a raid jointly conducted by the police and the Department of Health.
Magistrate So Wai-tak said the case was serious, and a deterrent sentence was necessary to maintain the standard of Hong Kong’s medical services.
