The European Union has expressed concern over the disappearance of five people linked to a Causeway Bay bookstore.
A statement from the European Union's External Action Service said the lack of information about the well-being and whereabouts of five missing Hong Kong residents was extremely worrying.
The five men connected with Mighty Current publishers and its bookshop, Causeway Bay Books, are said to have been abducted to the mainland by its security agents.
The statement highlighted the fact that two of the men are European Union citizens. Lee Bo who vanished from Hong Kong holds a British passport, and Gui Minhai, who went missing from Thailand, holds a Swedish passport.
It called on authorities in Thailand, the mainland and Hong Kong to carry out further investigations into the case.
