The chairman of the Legislative Council's Finance Committee, Chan Kin-por, has urged pan-democratic lawmakers not to hold up a government application for HK$5.46 billion in additional funding for the ongoing constructing of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
The committee will meet on Friday to discuss the application which has been moved to the top of the agenda at the government's request.
Chan said he expects pan-democratic legislators to be unhappy about the change in the agenda, but hoped they would not filibuster the meeting which is scheduled to last only two hours.
