The honorary chairman of the Liberal Party, James Tien, says his party plans to support HK-TV Chairman Ricky Wong if he decides to run in the September Legislative Council election.
Tien says his party might not compete in the Hong Kong island constituency, and may instead back Wong, as they share similar political views.
Tien added that he plans to seek re-election in the New Territories East constituency.
Ricky Wong is a former member of the Liberal Party.
