About 700 lifeguards will go on strike Tuesday in a row over staffing levels, and an increased workload caused in part by an influx of visitors from the mainland.
Some 300 union members went on strike last month over the same issue -- affecting two beaches and five swimming pools.
But, a vice-chairman of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Lifeguards' Union, Alex Kwok, said Tuesday's strike will be bigger.
He said at least 20 public beaches and swimming complexes are likely to be affected by the indsutrial action.
