Two men have pleaded not guilty in the High Court to a knife attack on Kevin Lau, the former chief editor of the Ming Pao daily.
Yip Kim-wah and Wong Chi-wah are accused of unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The alleged offence took place in Tai Hong Street in February 2014. Both men are also charged with stealing a motorcycle.
The trial is expected to last 15 days.
