Three men were injured after a dispute between two groups of South Asian men in the busy platform of a Hong Kong MTR station during evening rush hour on Monday.

Police are searching for about nine men in connection with the case that happened in the Tsuen Wan-line platform at Jordan MTR station shortly after 6.30pm.

“Initial investigations showed that two groups of people had a dispute on the platform and then someone produced a knife during the argument,” a police spokeswoman said.

She said the three injured men were found at the platform when officers arrived.

The spokesman said the three South Asian men suffered injuries to their head and arms and were taken to hospital for treatment in a conscious state.

All three were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, police said.

Police officers from Yau Tsim police district were investigating at the scene.
