CCTV footage from inside a lift has been making the rounds on Hong Kong social media... all because one of the people on board decided to pop a squat and take a leak (of faith) in the corner of the moving elevator.
No, we're not taking the piss. You can watch it yourself here:
The clip, which Oriental Daily reports was filmed at MPM Plaza (more like M-pee-M Plaza) in Mong Kok at around 3pm on Wednesday, shows a man and a woman entering the lift. Pretty innocuous stuff so far.
But even before the doors are fully closed, the woman – who's apparently the impatient type – drops trou, hunches down, and does a speedy wee on the floor.
Almost immediately after the woman's got her pants back on, the doors open, the pair exits, and there's nary but a puddle to show for their eventful elevator ride, like an ammonia-scented memento.
Following the video's release, netizens HK-wide have almost uniformly expressed their (one might say steaming) disdain – although let it never be said that netizens are biased, as the man has been given his fair share of criticism for his complicity in his companion's bladder-emptying antics.
Well, we guess it's (marginally) better thantaking a crap at Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station and technically you're not supposed to judge what people are doing behind closed doors... but we'll make an exception. This is gross.
