Report by Suresh ChandarLegislators have expressed concern at the government's new Basic Law teaching kit for secondary students.
Some said it was biased while others said it would not attract interest of the students.
Democratic Party lawmaker Helena Wong said the material contained in the kit was not clear while New People's Party legislator Regina Ip said certain wordings in the kit could be improved.
The Secretary for Education, Eddie Ng, said the government would encourage students to participate in the study by providing various subsidies and other resources.
