An elderly woman has been given a suspended jail term and her husband fined for assaulting a woman during the Occupy movement in Mong Kok in October.
So Suet-ling was found guilty of attacking the 36-year-old after she found the woman had taken photos of her at the occupation zone on Argyle Street.
Because she had a history of cancer, Kwun Tong Magistrate Peony Wong sentenced Mrs So to 14 days in jail, suspended for a year. Her husband, 72-year-old Chan Nam-sing, was fined HK$8,000 for touching the breasts of the woman during the chaos.
