Frederick Fung calls for secretary-level probe

The lawmaker wants a thorough probe into the lead scare. RTHK photoAssociation for Democracy and People's Livelihood lawmaker Frederick Fung - a member of Legco's Housing Panel, and a former member of the Housing Authority has called for a secretary-level probe into the lead contamination case.

He told RTHK on Thursday that a comprehensive look is needed to find out the reasons and the probe should not be conducted at mere departmental level.

He said the problem started when the buildings were built and every aspect of the construction, from the quality of the material to the painting process, should be looked into.
