Last time, it was at Exit A; this time, it was at Exit B.
If bad things come in threes, it might be a good idea for MTR passengers at Kowloon Bay Station to be careful when riding the escalator at Exit C.
The escalator connecting the MTR concourse at Exit B to Telford Plaza broke down at about 7 p.m. Saturday, Apple Daily reported.
No one was hurt.
The comb plates had broken off and were scattered at the foot of the escalator, as seen in the picture taken by Crystal Lee.
An MTR representative said technicians arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough inspection and repairs on the escalator.
A foreign screw was identified as the trigger that activated the safety mechanism to stop the escalator.
On Aug. 7 at around 5 p.m., the escalator to Telford Plaza from the concourse at Exit A of the same station stopped operating, also because some of its comb plates had broken off.
