Student activists Joshua Wong and Nathan Law have been scheduled to stand trial next May for allegedly obstructing the police during a protest outside the Liaison Office last June.
During the protest, Wong, convenor of student group Scholarism and Nathan Law Secretary-General of the Federation of Students, burnt replicas of the Chinese State Council white paper on the "One Country, Two Systems" principle.
The two were charged in July - around a year after the incident.
The other two defendants are League of Social Democrats vice-chairman Raphael Wong and People Power lawmaker Albert Chan.
The prosecution said three police officers will be summoned as witnesses during the trial.
