Liberal Party lawmaker James Tien says the policy address sounds like a personal campaign manifesto for the next Chief Executive election in 2017.
Tien also criticised Chief Executive CY Leung for not mentioning anything about the disappearance of Lee Bo, one of five men linked to Causeway Bay Book amid speculations that Lee was taken away illegally by mainland law-enforcement agencies from Hong Kong.
Tien said if not to ask for the release of Lee, Leung should have at least talk to leaders in Beijing and find out what actually happened.
“A lot of people would expect our Chief Executive to at least do that for Hong Kong,” Tien said.
Tien also criticised Leung for not doing anything to mend relationship with the pan-democrats. He said as long as that is not done, he would not support Leung’s re-election.
