The body of a hiker and a known pro-democracy activist has been found in Tai Lam Country Park, it has been reported.Jacob Choi, a 39-year-old localist, activist and hiker, was feared missing after leaving his residence in Chuk Yuen on the morning of Jan. 3 to go hiking, according to a police report.
A Facebook post detailed that Choi had been gathering signatures for a petition against the controversial "Internet Article 23" bill on Jan., raising suspicions that Choi's disappearance had something to do his activism.
Choi was due to go to work on the Monday after his hike, but his employer filed a missing persons report when he failed to appear and could not be reached by colleagues.
