Civic Party leader Alan Leong says state leader Zhang Dejiang has overemphasised his support for CY Leung, giving the impression that the central government is genuinely backing him.
Leong and three other pan-democratic lawmakers held brief talks with Zhang during last week's visit to Hong Kong.
But he said he doesn't think anything much will come from the meeting, it was all just for show, and that actions speak louder than words.
