The court will deliver its verdict on June 29 against student leaders Joshua Wong, Nathan law and Alex Chow over a protest in Civic Square.

The arguments ended on Friday in the trial in which they were charged over climbing over a fence into the government complex forecourt known as Civic Square on September 26, 2014.

That protest triggered off a series of events that culminated in the Umbrella Movement against Beijing's political reform proposals.

The prosecution argued the fact they climbed into the square was unlawful and that the protest was pre-planned.

Defence lawyers argued that authorities should not have fenced off Civic Square – an area outside the Tamar government headquarters.

Wong did not comment on Friday but has previously said he was preparing for a possible jail sentence. He will also face a verdict on May 23 in another case over an anti-Beijing protest in the build-up to the pro-democracy rallies.
