HKT 12:08
More than a dozen activists and students who were arrested in connection with the July 1st sit-in on Chater Road in Central, have all been released unconditionally.
They were told of the decision when they reported back to Central Police Station on Thursday morning.
Before entering the police station, the group chanted slogans and said they would refuse to have their bail extended.
They also demanded that the police should either charge them or release them unconditionally.
The group were among 500 arrested by the police who cleared them from Chater Road after they staged an overnight sit-in following the annual July 1st march.
