More than 1,100 people have signed a petition objecting to the planned demolition of the Cadogan Street Temporary Garden in Kennedy Town.
The Concern Group for Protecting Kennedy Town said on Tuesday that the park is scheduled to be cleared in early 2016, as part of wider development plans for the area.
A spokesman for the group, Ben Mok, said they are not opposed to all development, but can only accept a plan that would bring long-term benefits to their community.
After the MTR Corporation extended its Island Line to Kennedy Town last December, property prices have boomed in the area.
