The convenor of the Alumni Concern Group, said on Thursday that they will step up action if the University of Hong Kong's governing council refuses to withdraw its earlier decision to delay the appointment of a new pro vice-chancellor.
The Council is scheduled to hold a meeting next Tuesday, but the issue over the appointment is not currently on the agenda.
Ip Kin-yuen, who also represents the education sector in the Legislative Council, said they won't rule out any options when considering their further action.
