Police have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with an alleged diploma mill scam.

The Education Bureau asked police to investigate after it suspected Lifelong College of forging documents. It was reported last month that it fast-tracked some students' doctorate programmes by backdating their admission records.

Police carried out a search of the school in Yau Ma Tei and the man's flat in Aberdeen, and took away documents and computers.

Lifelong College partners with Tarlac State University and Bulacan State University of the Philippines in running remote doctoral degree programmes.
