Hong Kong prepares for Ebola

Hong Kong's Health Secretary, Ko Wing-man, says the SAR is bracing itself for imported cases of Ebola as the outbreak of the deadly disease continues in west Africa. 

Dr Ko said isolation wards at Princess Margaret Hospital have been set up, and that the government will continue to step up surveillance at border checkpoints.

Ebola is caused by a virus transmitted via blood or body fluids. It is not as easy to catch as flu, but it has a mortality rate of between 50 and 90 percent.
