The Legislative Council was adjourned for the day due to lack of quorum even before it started a debate on a controversial bill dealing with copyright on internet.

People Power lawmaker Albert Chan and Ray Chan had raised quorum calls ahead of the debate on the Copyright (Amendment) Bill that some activists say will hurt their freedom of expression.

Albert Chan had warned earlier that he would keep calling for time-consuming headcounts in an effort to disrupt and even adjourn the meeting.
