Nearly 400 academics and other staff from various tertiary institutions have signed a declaration to support university students who will start boycotting classes on Monday.
The week-long boycott is to protest against Beijing's conservative framework for political reform in Hong Kong.
The academics urged teachers to avoid having important examinations during the boycott period and to help the students catch up with their studies afterwards.
