Group refused Victoria Park booking
HKT 00:09
The government has confirmed that it won't allow the Civil Human Rights Front to use Victoria Park as the starting point for a march on October 1, suggesting it makes an application for the following day instead.
The pro-democracy group had wanted to book the park's six football pitches and the central lawn, but the Leisure and Cultural Services Department says they have already been booked by another group.
The planned rally is being seen as a curtain-raiser to an Occupy Central protest.
