Kowloon City Magistracy has decided to accept as evidence footage from Asia Television in the alleged police assault case involving Occupy protester Ken Tsang.
The Civic Party member has denied charges of assaulting and resisting police officers. He's accused of splashing a liquid on 11 policemen in October 2014 in Tamar Park.
Lawyers had spent days arguing whether the footage should be accepted, as the defence doubted its authenticity.
Kowloon City principle magistrate Peter Law on Friday ruled that the footage appeared to be genuine and there's no reason for him to exercise his discretionary powers to throw them out. Screenshots captured from the footage have also been accepted as evidence.
