Michael Lin speaks to Money Talk's Peter Lewis

The stock markets in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan and Singapore could all be linked in future if the politics can be sorted out.

This was revealed by president of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Michael Lin, who said the four markets are working on establishing trading links.

He told RTHK's Money Talk programme that the success of the Hong Kong-Shanghai Stock Connect could serve as a basis for these links.

He said each of the markets has its own strengths and characteristics, and that from a business point of view linking the exchanges together made sense. He said that from a technical point of view, it was achievable, but politically complicated.
