LegCo finishes early after quorum call
The weekly meeting of the Legislative Council was suspended 30 minutes early on Thursday, because not enough lawmakers were in the chamber.
People Power lawmaker Raymond Chan made a quorum call just before the session's scheduled end.
He is one of several pan-democrats who have been filibustering the budget debate.
They have been protesting the decision by the council's President, Tsang Yok-sing, to reject hundreds of amendments they had filed against the proposals contained in the budget legislation.contained in the budget legislation.
