Leung Kwok-hung said on Wednesday that the Chief Executive, CY Leung, had sent out a warning that people should not be too critical of him, after the League of Social Democrats lawmaker was left off the guest list for a dinner with other legislators at Government House.

Another lawmaker considered radical, Wong Yuk-man, has not been invited to this month’s event either, although People Power's Raymond Chan will be welcome.

Leung Kwok-hung said the chief executive was treating legislators as if they were his "servants" rather than guests.

The Chief Executive’s Office said in response that Leung Kwok-hung had disrupted spring receptions hosted by CY Leung in the past and therefore it would not be appropriate to invite him.

A spokesman added that Wong had not been invited because he is involved in a trial in which the chief executive is a witness.

Wong is accused of assault after allegedly throwing a glass towards Leung in the Legislative Council two years ago.
