The Equal Opportunities Commission says it will look into whether anyone has breached anti-discrimination laws for opposing the relocation of a special needs primary school from Lantau to Tuen Mun.
This comes after the principal of a secondary school, which is next to the new Tuen Mun site, complained to the Education Bureau.
Choi Kwok-kwong, of Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School, had said the primary students would have a greater chance of teaming up with undesirable elements and gangsters in his community.
He has since apologised.
