The former member of the Executive and Legislative Councils told reporters Friday the central government did not tolerate foreign intervention in the governance of Hong Kong.
She reiterated Hong Kong was afforded a high degree of autonomy for the judicial, legislative and executive branches of government under the Basic Law but overall governance still rested with the central government.
She called remarks made by director of the central government liaison office in Hong Kong Zhang Xiaoming on Thursday (http://bit.ly/1AZypS4) signaled no change in Beijing's steadfast stance on the matter.
