The Home Affairs Secretary, Lau Kong-wah, said on Wednesday the government was still looking into the controversial move that saw the word "national" removed from a drama brochure stating a Taiwanese university's name.
He told lawmaker at a Legco meeting that the government will tell the lawmakers of their findings later.
He refused to apologise over the row that broke out two weeks ago. Civic Party lawmaker Kwok Ka-ki, who pressed him to apologise, called Lau "a turtle" implying he was hiding behind procedural “shell”.
Drama group Nonsensemakers said the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) had asked them to take out the word "national", from Taipei National University of the Arts, which was listed as the alma mater of executive producer Law Shuk-yin.
