Baggio Leung talks to RTHK's Janice Wong
The convenor of Youngspiration, Baggio Leung, said they've not completely ruled out working with the new political party Demosisto if a compromise can be made on the timetable of the referendum that both are calling for.
The coalition six post-Occupy groups – led by Youngspiration – calls for a referendum to be held on the future of Hong Kong in 2021.
The new party, Demosisto, setup by student activists who co-led the Occupy sit-ins in 2014 also wants a referendum to be held, but a little later, in 2026.
Leung told RTHK's Janice Wong that the coalition will make a final decision on whether to field candidates in the September's Legco elections in two months' time.
